Strength, Grit, and Movement: Fighting Parkinson’s with Ten Fld NYC
Jun 10, 2025

Living with Parkinson’s doesn’t mean giving up movement—it means moving with more intention. At Ten Fld NYC, we believe that strength training, non-contact boxing, and vocal empowerment through LSVT can be game-changing tools for those navigating life with Parkinson’s.
Strength That Shows Up Daily
Strength training is more than just muscle—it’s your foundation for everyday life. We use progressive resistance training (PRT) to help clients improve motor function, balance, and confidence. It’s about building strength that carries over when you're getting out of a chair, walking a block, or catching yourself from a fall. Studies show that training two to three times per week can lead to real, measurable changes in how you move and feel. At Ten Fld, we tailor each session to your body, your goals, and your pace.
Boxing With Purpose
We’re proud to be a Rock Steady Boxing affiliate, offering targeted, non-contact boxing sessions for our Parkinson’s community. These workouts combine agility, coordination, footwork, and cognitive drills—all in a fun, supportive setting. Boxing helps sharpen focus, improve posture and gait, and boost overall energy. But what we love most? The confidence it brings. Clients walk out taller, stronger, and more connected to their bodies.
Big, Bold Voices Matter
We also offer LSVT Loud—a speech therapy method proven to help those with Parkinson’s speak more clearly, with volume and confidence. By helping clients “think loud,” LSVT reduces social withdrawal and strengthens communication. Our certified therapists provide one-on-one support that keeps clients engaged and empowered.
A Holistic Approach, Rooted in Community
At Ten Fld NYC, we take a whole-person approach. Whether it’s working with a trainer, joining a boxing group, or regaining vocal clarity with LSVT, everything we do is designed to help you live better—not just manage symptoms. We’re here to remind you: there’s strength in movement, in voice, and in showing up.
Let’s move better, fight back, and live big—together.
